International removal insurance
Nobody likes to think about insurance or that something may be damaged during a move abroad. Britannia Goodwins International Removals & Storage has been moving people since 1935, and we know that occasionally accidents can happen, especially on international moves. Because of this, we offer a variety of insurance packages to suit your international removal and storage requirements.
It goes without saying that we'll do everything we can to avoid a situation where you'd need to claim. This includes using the latest packing and loading techniques and keeping our men trained and up-to-date. However, we're all human and occasionally accidents can happen, especially when your belongings are being sent on a ship overseas.
In addition to removals insurance to protect your home and belongings against damage during your move, and insurance to help with delays or changes to the date of your move, we also offer specialist international removal insurance.
Marine insurance
Moving overseas is simply more risky than moving locally. There are many factors outside of our control - including difficult sea crossings due to bad weather and customs inspections resulting in your items being handled and possibly not re-packed well by untrained staff. Because of this, marine insurance should be an essential part of your move.
To provide you with the best possible cover, our surveyor will discuss and leave a marine insurance pack with you at the time of your survey. This will outline the insurances available.
To arrange cover, the marine insurance proposal should be completed and returned prior to packing. Should you decline our offer of insurance, you'll need to provide a copy of the insurance certificate of the cover that you have arranged.

How are our appointments carried out
In the current times you might prefer that we don't visit your house in person to carry out a survey. This is fully understandable and we can just as easily undertake the survey by video call, using whatever method you're comfortable with, usually FaceTime or WhatsApp.
