Emigrate to New Zealand - visa information
Deciding to move to a new country is a big decision. Before you can plan your removal to New Zealand, you need to make sure your visas and permits are in order. We've gathered together some information to help you find the right visa for you and your family.

Are you eligible for a New Zealand visa?
Check the New Zealand Immigration website for more information. You can also take a free test online to determine if you're eligible for a skilled immigration visa from The Emigration Group.
Skilled Migrant Visa
New Zealand's Skilled Migration Program requires potential migrants to complete an Expression of Interest (EOI), which will then be scored against a points test. All migrants applying for a Skilled Visa must be aged 55 or under. These visas are open to skilled workers whose trade or profession is approved by INZ
New Zealand Business Visas
There are currently three types of New Zealand Business Visas available:
- Long-Term Business Visa (three year work visa)
- Active Investor Visa - Global Investor Category
- Active Investor Visa - Professional Investor Category
- Active Investor Visa - General Investor Category
Family Visa
Partner visa
- The partner of a New Zealand resident or citizen, wishing to obtain New Zealand residence themselves
Family category visa (Parent)
- Applicants must express their interest in applying for New Zealand residence. Depending on the requirements they claim to meet, may subsequently be invited to apply. Applicants cannot have any dependent children, and one of their adult children must have been permanently resident in New Zealand for at least three years and be willing to sponsor the applicants.
Parent Retirement Category
- Applicants must be able to invest a minimum of $1 million in New Zealand over four years and have an annual income of at least $60,000 at the time they apply, and settlement funds of at least $500,000

- Work To Residence Visa (Initial 30 month period)
- Essential Skills Work Visa
- Working Holiday Visa
- Temporary Retirement Category

In the current times you might prefer that we don't visit your house in person to carry out a survey. This is fully understandable and we can just as easily undertake the survey by video call, using whatever method you're comfortable with, usually FaceTime or WhatsApp.

I had 2 moves. One from my father's property on the 25/6 and into storage and then on the 12/7. Gareth and Jack were simply outstanding on the 25/6. It was a very hot day and they had to carry all the items down 8 flights of stairs as unable to use the lift. They were organised, friendly, really hard working and respectful of the property. 10/10. I therefore was very pleased to see that they had been allocated to me on the 12/7 along with John. Once again outstanding service. Hard working, fast, nothing was too much trouble. Polite and respectful and also patient when I decided I wanted a piece of furniture moved ..again. I cannot praise the team enough. They are a credit to Britannia Goodwins and made my move a lot more bearable and funny at times which lightened the whole stress of moving. If I ever move again (long shot !) then I will want the same team.. Simply the Best! Please pass on my gratitude to them all and in particular Gareth and Jack who had the tough job of the stairs!
