Britannia Goodwins began in 1935, and have been providing quality, secure and professional removals and storage to Staffordshire and Cheshire ever since. We are proud of our long history of moving satisfied customers for over 80 years. We've maintained the same warm, friendly and helpful approach of our initial years with the business - but we have upgraded our trucks!
Removals since 1935
Goodwins removals was founded in 1935 by Alan Goodwin, whose expertise and professionalism quickly earned a big reputation for excellent work in his small company. Upon Alan Goodwin's retirement, the company was run by his son Robert Goodwin. Robert retired in 2015, and the company became a part of John Bradshaw & Son, who also own Britannia Bradshaw International Removals & Storage of Birmingham and Manchester - another small company with a passion and dedication for customer satisfaction, holding the same family values and demand for quality of Britannia Goodwins International Removals & Storage. Most of our staff have been with Britannia Goodwins for many years.
A moment in time
We recently had a painting commissioned by artist I. G. Mackay after we wanted to capture a moment in time for our business. We wanted something that captured how our Staffordshire removals business looks to commemorate all our years in industry. Over the past year we realised how quickly things can change over such short periods of time, so we're proud to showcase this art and immortalise Britannia Goodwins for our staff and customers in this special way.

Quality & professionalism matter
Britannia Goodwins International Removals & Storage are a member of the British Association of Removers (BAR), a membership that is not easily obtained, and we are proud to uphold their standards of professional expertise. We are also ISO 9001 and 14001 certified, ensuring quality for our employees and our customers.
Our fleet is made up of seven vehicles ranging from 35 to 18 tonnes, allowing us to perform moves of all sizes with ease.
We value our customers and want to ensure they're happy with the services we provide. Every customer is sent a Customer Care Survey after their move, giving them a chance to rate us on how well we did. You can read our customer reviews - taken from the Customer Care Surveys - and see what our customers are saying.
We also reward our removal men every month for going the extra mile for our customers. Our Removal Man of the Month award is a hotly contested race with our men, and those who have received the best feedback from our customers are recognised every month.

How are our appointments carried out
In the current times you might prefer that we don't visit your house in person to carry out a survey. This is fully understandable and we can just as easily undertake the survey by video call, using whatever method you're comfortable with, usually FaceTime or WhatsApp.

Honestly excellent and cannot praise them enough. Moving is always stressful and moving to California even more so. The items they sent are irreplaceable to me and they were extremely well contained. I have never seen something so well protected before -- Thanks Chris and Alan. Everything arrived exactly as it left. This was all managed by Matthew Myers who was excellent from start to finish

I’ll be honest, I have never seen something so well wrapped and protected before! Please can you pass on my thanks to the guys that collected my things, wrapped and shipped? I am very grateful for their care and diligence.
