Britannia Goodwins International Removals & Storage has been successfully moving people since 1935, and we value your home and its contents as much as you do. However, we also know that occasionally accidents can happen when you're moving house.
Not only can we provide insurance to suit your particular needs and your goods, but we can also match it to the destination that you are travelling to. If you are moving overseas we offer marine and international removal insurance.
Whether you're moving across the road or across the globe, we offer a variety of insurance packages to suit your removal and storage requirements.
Of course, we do everything we can to avoid a situation where you'd need to claim, including using the latest packing and loading techniques. But we're all human, and occasionally accidents can happen.
We also suggest you check your home and contents insurance policies before you move to see if they cover your belongings during your removal, at what level they're covered and if you need to purchase a supplemental policy.
Cancellations & date changes
Chains collapse or cause delays, builders don't always finish when expected, or other issues stop your move from happening when you planned. Because of this, we suggest customers take out cancellation insurance for their moves. As long as you notify us by 5pm on the day before your move, your move will be rescheduled for you at no additional cost if you have the cancellation cover in place.
Late key waiver
Sometimes the keys to your new home and ready and waiting at the time you're scheduled to receive them. Other times, you're left waiting for the keys - sometimes for hours - which causes a delay in your move as the removal men wait for the keys so they can unload your belongings into your new home. With Late Key Waiver coverage, you can avoid paying extra waiting charges (which can be expensive) while your keys are delayed.
In the unlikely event of loss and/or damage which may give rise to a claim under this insurance, immediate notice must be given in writing to the Company. Unless a time extension has been requested by you, and agreed by the Company in writing, it is a general condition under this insurance that full details of any losses and/or damages for removals and storage must be notified within 7 days after delivery or, in the case of non-delivery, within 7 days from when your property would normally be delivered. For overseas removals and storage outside the United Kingdom the time limit is 30 days. These time limits apply whether or not your property has been unpacked.
